“Those who think they have no time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness” – Edward Stanley

ouch! but i think it's true.

so do your exercise joyfully. sweat and feel your body move, become stronger, tire out, and push through! be motivated with music or work out in the quiet and listen to yourself.

"The way to 'solve' the problem of procrastination is to let delight pull you instead of making a to-do list push you." —Paul Graham [via]

after having the stomach flu last week and taking care of eliot and andy and myself i had no energy to exercise. so i ended up taking a break for nearly two weeks, which was because i was on vacation and was taking a rest by choice until my body forced me to keep resting. but here's my theory: i think if i would've been exercising as normal i believe i would have avoided getting so sick. i'll never know for sure but i do know that working out is such a part of who i am now that there's no turning back to old bad habits or falling in and out of exercising. it's simply what i do and it's how i wish to live. and so it will be. i pass this message on to anyone who'll listen because it's changed me at the core. i'm calmer and happier and stronger. i wish the same for everyone!

now, go take a beautiful walk or skip or run or meander or dance in your underwear! just move! your body is a gift. your time is a gift and you deserve it!
