this doggy may come to meet us on monday. andy's still on the fence about having a dog. this little man's name is doc. he's from the dominican republic, 3 months old, and has tiny paws. his rescuer thinks he's part chihuahua. he just looks so sweet to me. are we nuts? probably. but, it'll be a treat to meet him either way. if we bound we'll be in big trouble, i know. but, the rescuer has to approve my little family and our home too. i've never potty trained a puppy, i'm sure that'll be a treat too!! ha!
my sister fosters puppies (i think that is like rescuing them – she gives them a home until they are adopted, and trains them with her own dog) 🙂 puppy training is mostly hazardous to your couches, carpets, and spare shoes and clothes that may be lying around. other than that, it's all about consistency, tiring the little bugger out, and crate training…. which I think some people have mixed feelings about, but in an apartment, it really turns out to be a godsend.
Puppies are hard work, they chew on everything, so keep your expensive shoes locked up! He is SO cute!
