today on the news they were talking about a berry farm in fife that is leasing the property until the end of september when they are able to pick all the berries. Well, the construction company has canceled the lease so they can begin developing the land now. They showed the fields of green and pink berries, it hurt. More good food gone. I can't believe they would allow those people to farm that land and take it away from them before they could sell what they grew. bastards. the american farming industry needs to be revamped big time! I am disgusted by what I see happening in my own community. There is another large 10 acres of fields that used to belong to faith dairy (out of business for three years now) they are selling all that land to be subdivided. It makes me sick. I wished I had bunches of money to buy what is left of the farm land here, it is disapearing so fast. sigh…..
