At my mom's last weekend I took some photos of some old toys and baby pictures.
I got my Barbie Dream House the Christmas before my parents divorced. (Sorry Mom, that is a strong memory with that lovely toy.) My mom and step dad have taken excellent care of it and have been storing my treasures for many years. If you know Barbie well you may spot the pink Barbie gym locker, the shopping mall counter with a display of hats, the awesome Barbie striped couches and chairs with matching tables, and one of Barbie's horses.

My friend in elementary school had the barbie dream house with the elevator, My barbie was always in the elevator. Ha! I made my barbie house out of two shelves of a book case and books and blocks. My barbie slept on a green bible that used to belong to my dad. Oh the hours I spent playing barbies with my cousins… Good Times.
My 1964 Barbie with the blonde bob would look great in this house. Maybe she can visit? I'll let you play with her. You can even dress her up in her original wedding dress.
I'm jealous… or would have been when I was 11 🙂 We didn't have a lot of money when I was that age, and I remember we had three or four Barbies each, a few outfits, no toys. I think we bought a big used Barbie house at one point, but it wasn't the cool pink one with accessories, and I was always jealous. Isn't it funny what you remember…?
