I like to add new challenges to my physical fitness regimen pretty often. Of course because I don't want to get bored and because I believe in always surprising my muscles. So in addition to my P90X schedule and running three days a week (I think I mentioned I'm training for the Brooklyn half marathon in May) I just started jumping on my mini trampoline every day for 20 to 30 minutes. The benefits of rebounding are all over the internet but this recent post on Kristen's Raw Blog motivated me to get jumping again.
In the past I've added hula hooping, biking, poi spinning, trampoline, working with personal trainers, yoga, private pilates classes and more. Must keep it interesting and entertaining! Wishing you an inspired Sunday!
omg – i have looked everywhere on vox to find some one who's doing the p90x program right now. you think there would be more!
anyway, i'm on phase 2 in the middle of week 2. you must be done your 90 days now? what are some of the differences that you've noticed in how you feel and how your body composition has changed?
I'm actually sad to say I didn't finish the 90 days- I stopped just a couple weeks before. I got very burned out on Tony Horton. But I'll be back to it soon. I just need to turn him off! I've been exercising for years so no huge changes for me. Enjoy!
i started to play the dvd's with just music and cues. nothing personal against tony h. but he's a bit insane to listen to. 🙂 and after i do my 90 days, i hope to do more yoga mixed into some of the p90x routine.
i was working out before p90x but because i've only been back to fitness for the past year and a half, i have noticed my body composition changing. and i'm getting stronger. i don't expect to look like those people on the commercial.
nor do i really care to. i'm exercising for all the benefits rather then focusing on just image. stress-relief is a big thing! i am not as anxious and much calmer through a consistent workout schedule.
I agree! Couldn't live without the happiness and well being exercising gives!
