1. Class with Johnny Kest, a well loved vegan yogi.

2. First class play list included “It’s Not Easy Being Green” by Kermit the Frog, “Working Class Hero” by John Lennon & “Dancing With Myself” by Billy Idol

3. I teared up & laughed during my first class. I fell over & got back up too.

4. Went to see Kest speak on veganism & yoga. My takeaway: there is SO much to say about being vegan but his main message is of ahimsa (a Sanskrit term which mean to do no harm) .

5. Second yoga class for the day was with Kathryn Budig called Keep Calm & Bakasana On. Crow pose over & over with different ways to enter & exit it. I got myself into half of a tripod headstand for the first time so along with just simply enjoying my time with Budig I was content with that little victory as well.

6. This was day two of not seeing Eliot, day 7 on antibiotics & we were at 6200 feet above sea level. whoa. Beauty everywhere from the people watching to the mountains, trees & sunshine. How much can a girl take in?

7. Yoga Woman, a new documentary film was screened on Thursday night & what a labor of love! One of the creators announced that they had finished the final edit Wednesday 3AM Australian time, flew to Tahoe & there we were to enjoy it’s debut. Wonderful film!

8. Went to bed early but listened to The Wailers play from my cozy bed.

9. Fell asleep proud of myself for going there & happy to have an amazing friend in Srutih that has truly brought me to yoga in all her actions.

****My facebook status that afternoon: I did yoga today while holding hands with the ladies on either side of me & listening to Kermit the Frog sing, in the mountains with the warm summer breeze & listened to a vegan talk & did loads of bakasanas!!
