Sweet tooth Thursday!

*Cacao Crunch Cereal with home made almond banana milk, sliced banana and blueberries

Ran out the door with E & A for E's first dentist appointment! Then ran errands downtown, SW, then Sellwood, SE and lastly home. Then went out for a play date at the park. Later E said, "You know what I know? Girls are crazy. Boys are a little bit but girls are really crazy." Soooo funny.

*2 small Cowgirl cookies from Prasad- they are my cookie perfection: chocolate chip, peanut butter & oatmeal vegan & gluten free!

*Coconut water

***30 minutes of a Tracy Anderson dvd and 30 minutes cardio workout***

*Coconut water

*Bliss salad from Prasad. Love this salad so much. It's filled with beets, quinoa, figs, currants, greens, ginger dressing, carrots & walnuts!

*dessert: Cacao raspberry raw vegan cheesecake from Prasad with fresh blueberries and sliced banana. Tried SO hard to save some for tomorrow. Could not pull it together, Ate It All. Yum.

Later I'm sure I'll have some water and probiotics and maybe a small snack so I'm signing off for now! Off to see a special screening of Toy Story 3 in 3D!

Gooooooooodnight Voxers!

I stopped eating last night around 7:30PM and since then this is what I consumed:

16 ounces water- upon waking.

8 oz green tea with vanilla stevia – while Eliot and I did school work.

40 oz or so of water – during and after E's Science class at a local community center.

8 oz chocolate chai decaf tea with vanilla stevia – relaxing and trying not to watch the clock tick tock.

16 oz water – tummy growling in the late afternoon.

10 oz GT's multi-green kombucha – early evening pick me up leaving me very full and satiated.

Breaking my fast:
About 7PM: 12 oz banana almond mylk. I whipped this up in my blender with raw almond butter, water, lucuma, vanilla stevia, Greener Grasses chocolate powder, Sun Warrior chocolate protein powder & bananas. I made about 50 ounces for the next few days. It's so very tasty.

Final verdict: I drank too much! Now at the end of the day I'm  feeling the effects of 110 ounces of liquids and realize I should have stopped around 80 max with my body type aka shorty-petite-ness! Oh well, all is well live and learn!

After many meals out at restaurants and all the exercise and digesting I put my body through I every so often do 24 hours of just water or a water fast. I've read water fasting is the most effective rest/jump start you can give your body and since I find it comfortable I'm happy to do it. But this is a special case in which I am prepping the day before a little more mindfully then usual. I wanted today's eats/drinks to be quick digesting nutrient rich foods- and keep me going! I have a busy week ahead with Eliot's final week of classes & his 6th birthday party this weekend! I'm even already planning on what I'll break my fast with tomorrow night… hmmmm….but as for today here's what I had:

10 ounces water

B: one cup chocolate yerba mate tea with honey

One hour workout- 30 minutes of weights and body weight exercises followed by treadmill jog, runs and hill climbs for the second half.

S: one cup coconut water (I Love coconut water. It's perfection.)

S: one and a half cups almond milk with SunWarrior protein powder

S: half a bottle of Happy Boost goji berry juice with green tea, pear juice and more yummies see here (My brother left this in my fridge last month and I think I would buy it- it gave me a great kick of energy and it wasn't overly sweet. Yum!)

S: my amazingly weird chia-almond milk-chocolate-banana-greener grasses chocolate powder pudding with vanilla stevia, maca, cinnamon and probably more I'm forgetting.

10 ounces water

D: steamed asparagus and steamed rapini with fresh squeezed lemon, tumeric, onion powder and black pepper.

DS: one square dark chocolate

Probiotic and water

PS This blog post today by Angela really speaks to me and the way I'm trying to eat. Enjoy!

This truly is one of the most romantic songs I've ever heard. Love:

For Emily Whenever I May Find Her by Simon & Garfunkel

What a dream I had
Pressed in organdy
Clothed in crinoline
Of smoky burgundy
Softer than the rain

I wandered empty streets down
Past the shop displays
I heard cathedral bells
Tripping down the alleyways
As I walked on

And when you ran to me
Your cheeks flushed with the night
We walked on frosted fields
Of juniper and lamplight
I held your hand

And when I awoke
And felt you warm and near
I kissed your honey hair
With my grateful tears
Oh I love you, girl
Oh I love you
