*Green smoothie- unsure of the greens I bought and their taste, instead of trying them first I made it really sweet with yacon syrup, two dates, lucuma, tocos, mango, vanilla creme stevia, one banana and two large bunches of greens!
*Green juice from Sip
*Snacked on a few kale chips and vegan gluten-free brownie.
***Boot camp class at the gym
*The rest of my green smoothie from this morning and a little more brownie.
*Dinner- huge salad! Bok choy, asparagus, radishes, kale chip crumbs, little pesto, squeezed lemon, cucumbers, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes. With one piece of plain Food for Life bread and a second for dessert with cinnamon and raisin peanut butter and blueberry lavendar jam. yummmmmmmmm. The slices of bread are so tiny it's so fun to eat!

Kris Carr's affirmation of the day for the ACT group: I am ripe with power, love and passion and hot energy. I direct that energy with authority. There is nothing I can't do.

Love this. I am visualizing strongly our life in the next few months. I know exactly what I want and we are having it all! So I say: I am strong, I am worthy, I am making it happen, I am loved, I am healthy.

***Meditation and Yoga

*Green smoothie- eight collard leaves, two dates, two bananas, frozen blueberries, carob, cacao, nibs, goji berries, tocos, msm, maca, lucuma and chia seeds blended with water. This lasted me almost all day!

*Snacked on half of a vegan raspberry jam thumbprint cookie from Whole Foods on the way home. Clearly getting hungry after our little walk to the store!

***20 minutes jump rope in the sunshine while Eliot drew pictures with sidewalk chalk. He drew himself, me and pink wishing bubbles. Then he connected all the wishing bubbles because he said that meant we were hugging eachother. Next was a square with Mario characters and more…

*Organic peach and an amazing mango for a snack after jumping! Mangos are just amazing when they are squirty and juicy.

*Dinner: So excited! I just tried Food For Life bread that is wheat and gluten free and fruit sweetened and it was fantastic! Very surprising! I ate a lemon quinoa salad from the Whole Foods deli (no oils added, just salt and pepper and spices for flavor), steamed broccolini with one squeezed lemon, black pepper and nutritional yeast on top and one piece of FFL bread with half of a tiny avocado on top. Dessert was a few bites of raw brownie leftover from the Yummy Tummy. So glad I tried the bread!

*Put the last 20 ounces of green smoothie from this morning into the blender and added more spinach, more strawberries and spirulina.

I usually write throughout the day but tonight I'm just settling in after seeing Tom Robbins speak in Portland. I've seen him in Seattle (more then twice I think), LaConner, Santa Monica and now Portland. This is the first time I haven't been able to talk with him. He read and spoke and answered questions. Andy arrived an hour early in order to score us front row center seats- he's a keeper. Tom was incredibly smart, funny and he reminded me of my Grandma Amelia who passed away a year and a half ago. Hear me out though, I'm serious. His brilliant candor, his one watering eye (just like me and Grandma), his kind wisdom that he delivers like a pro. I'm not sorry to say that he has qualities that make me smile like I do when I'm thinking of her. Enough said.

On to food. My plans were to juice feast a bit today but after yesterdays workout and really wanting to get in cardio today I abandoned the notion and ate well and exercised instead.

*Half a watermelon- a big one!
***treadmill run with sprint and jump rope intervals. High incline and sprints and jumping last five minutes. Handstand finish.
*Green smoothie- 32 ounces of farmer's market spinach, carob, bananas, cherries, tocos and lucuma. Cherries are great for sore muscles and yummy!
*A few Quite cheesy kale chips on the way to Eliot's class.
*Yummy Tummy Thai salad and half of a small avocado on toast.

***Meditation and yoga.
*Big glass of watermelon juice, about 16 ounces rind and all.
*Green smoothie- 14 ounces rainbow chard, goji berries, blueberries, water, tocos, msm, lucuma, cacao, nibs, carob and bananas.
*Had 14 ounces more of the green smoothie after the farmer's market.
***Work Out with Eben at 24 Hour Fitness. And 5 minutes on the stair machine to cool down. He kicks me hard, when I'm sore right after a workout I know tomorrow will be far worse.
*Half of a Pure bar and some ginger peach iced tea with Julie. Good company in the warm sun. ahhh
*The Bye and Bye for dinner with Julie and fam! I was too hungry and I jumped right into edamame, a few chips and salsa, brussel sprouts, broccoli and their awesome spaghetti and veg meatballs. Dessert was a few bites of tiny vegan cakes of banana chocolate, pumpkin and chocolate hazelnut.

So today is day seven of Kris Carr's Adventure Cleanse Tune-up or ACT. I was faithful to level four- until last night:
Adventure Level one – 50/50 – raw to cooked ratio
Adventure Level two – 70/30 – raw to cooked ratio
Adventure Level three – raw till dinner, then 80/20
Adventure Level four – 100% raw with one mini juice fast (up to 3 days)

And oops I did it again tonight!  I wanted to wait a week and see how it went before posting about my choice to jump in to the challege. Well, I'm back on at this moment and plan on keeping on 100%- or very close to it for just short of the 28 days. We leave on day 25 for California and I may have cooked food. I still am unsure of when I'll be doing the juice fast. I skipped today's first 24 hour fast so I may do that tomorrow. I'll sip on green smoothies all day made with minimal fruit and no cacao. Wish me luck! In the last few months my hard work has paid off and I've lost 2% of my body fat and a couple of pounds which is the direction I want to go for my healthy athletic body! If you've never checked out http://crazysexylife.com/ I highly recommend it. Tonight I'll be drinking lots of water and taking a walk on my treadmill on a nice high incline! What did you do for your body today? xoxo Love it up!

*Meditation
*Watermelon in the BlendTec! I put 1/4 of a Huge melon into my blender then I drank it! Rind and all! Yum! Ate up the rest- Andy stole a bit too, he loves watermelon!
*Green smoothie- 16 oz -romaine, cacao, carob, cherries, bananas, msm, maca, tocos and lucuma with water.
***Alberta walk for the street fair, ran to the gym, boot camp and ran home. Jumped on the rebounder.
*16 oz more of this mornings green smoothie.
*Three romaine leaves stuffed with slices of zucchini, avocado , cherry tomatoes and celery sprinkled with leftover Quite Cheesy Kale Chip crumbs. One piece of Coracao chocolate for dessert.
*Dinner at sis-in-law's was cooked vegan. First time I've had cooked food in 6 days! I had a Field Roast veggie sausage on a bun with a little grilled pineapple and a few potato slices. Dessert was raw vegan ice cream, banana, and vanilla agave. Can't get enough of that dessert combo.

I love this vanilla agave. The liquid stevia I use for smoothies when I need some extra sweeties!

I'm getting so excited for all of our upcoming trips. Here's another picture from my vision board that I put up a few months ago. I think this is how I'll feel in Central Park and walking into the garden at Pure Food and Wine:
